Avin Art Therapy was created as a space for thoughtful, creative, and symbolic exploration of the inner world. The name Avin reflects renewal, movement, and the unfolding of meaning through lived experience.
This work is guided by the belief that creativity is not a talent reserved for a few, but a fundamental human capacity — one that allows us to encounter ourselves with honesty, depth, and care.
My path to this work has unfolded over many years and across disciplines. After raising my children to adulthood, I dedicated myself fully to interdisciplinary doctoral study in art, aesthetics, and the humanities, followed by years of focused training in expressive and art-based practices.
Throughout this journey, my central interest has remained consistent: to understand how images, symbols, and creative processes reveal dimensions of human experience that words alone cannot reach.
Avin Art Therapy is the space where this long-held vision has found form — shaped by study, reflection, and a deep respect for the inner life of others.
The work at Avin Art Therapy has been shaped by an interdisciplinary perspective that weaves together psychology, psychoanalytic thought, philosophy, aesthetics, and the arts. Rather than separating mind, imagination, and culture, this approach views the human being as a whole.
Dialogue, imagination, movement, storytelling, and art-making are used not as techniques to be mastered, but as invitations — invitations into presence, reflection, and self-discovery. The creative process becomes a meeting place where inner experience can be observed, held, and understood.
